A modern-day interpretation of the music of Hildegard Von Bingen distilled through the lens of my experiences in quarantine. For my forthcoming album Lifeline I have partnered with musicians around the country to create pre-recorded “drone” tracks over which I perform Hildegard’s ecstatic chants. Along with offering a fresh perspective on some of the oldest and most beautiful compositions in the European Art Music canon, this album spotlights how artists have been able to empower one another through our digital networks to create and collaborate while in isolation.

This performance is a meditative exploration of music from Lifeline, lasting 60 minutes with no intermission, and features live singing commingled with oration.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be no reception. Audience members are asked to exit the sanctuary in quiet reflection.
COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Due to the inclusion of live vocal performance, all audience members will be required to be vaccinated and boosted, and masks must be worn at all times. We also ask that audience members observe social distancing throughout the event.
